Hypothetically Speaking: A Holiday Pause and a Grateful Look Ahead
After 43 regular editions—and a handful of special ones—Hypothetically Speaking is taking a short, well-earned break. We will step away for the next two weeks to honor the Holidays, celebrate an extraordinary debut year, and catch our breath so we can return with renewed energy and purpose in the New Year.
We’ll be back on January 8, 2026, fully recharged and ready to deliver to Janesville and Rock County the news, analysis, in-depth research, and fearless reporting that no other publication in this region provides.
.
Our television production work will also take a brief hiatus through early January so that every member of our remarkable team can enjoy uninterrupted time with their loved ones in this blessed season.
To the community: thank you. Your support, encouragement, and trust have been humbling and motivating. In 2026, we pledge to work even harder—using every legal means available—to uncover the truth, report what some might prefer remained hidden, and shine a clear, unwavering light on our local institutions and the individuals whose actions shape the public’s business.
Our mission remains constant.
Our resolve only grows stronger.
The never-ending quest for truth goes on.
Happy Holidays and warmest wishes for a hopeful New Year from all of us at Hypothetically Speaking.
